The CD Lys min lampa contains 14 theatre songs with music composed by Erna Tauro. The Finnish musician Tauro worked as a pianist and composer at the Lilla Teatern theatre in Helsinki from 1955 to 1967. During this time she composed music to several Finnish-Swedish musicals, which were very successful. Her most famous song is Höstvisan (The autumn song) to which the author and creator of Moomin characters Tove Jansson wrote the lyrics. Tauro and Jansson collaborated in making several songs and amongst these are the famous Moomin songs.

The songs on Lys min lampa are primarily from Tauro´s years at the Lilla Teatern theatre. Most of the lyrics to the songs are Tove Jansson´s, but the CD also contains songs with lyrics written by Lars Jansson, Bengt Ahlfors, Johan Bargum, Frej Lindqvist, Gustav Fröding, Jan-Axel Nordlund and Lars Huldén.
